Christmas

Well it finally happened, after all these years, I got snowfall on Christmas Day. And I only had to move to Ireland to get it! Even in Ashland it never snowed on the actual day, believe or not. Now the downside was the driving in it, but we made it safely to James' parents' place and back both on Christmas Day and the day after, when his whole family were all in one place. Eamonn needed some help to open his presents on his birthday back in October, but somehow he got really good at it in the meantime. On Christmas Eve we let him open some of his gifts. We ordered some Scooby Doo gear - two pairs of pajamas, a hoodie, and two shirts. The boy is mad for Scooby Doo, or "Doo!" as he says. Maybe it's genetic, James and I both liked Scooby Doo when we were kids. Here's Eamonn opening one of the sets of pajamas:

Tomas got presents too, but definitely needs help opening his! And Eamonn stole most of them...

Here's Tomas starting to get the hang of forward movement. He's getting very close to crawling, much more so than on this video, but you know how it is - the minute you pick up the camera they stop doing what they were doing! Thanks for the bee rattle Aunt Donna, it works really well as bribery :)
